Norman Bowie, of the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, recorded a great series of videos discussing Kantian ethics in business with the Business Roundtable Institute for Corporate Ethics.
In the video below, Bowie proposes Kant would hold James Sinegal of Costco as one of today’s great business leaders. Bowie explains that Sinegal has lead by empowering people in the company with the ability to make decisions on their own.
